Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane retires from international cricket

Former Indian captain and veteran middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane has announced his retirement from international cricket.
A key member of the Indian Test team for many years, he played 85 Tests, 90 ODIs and 20 T20Is, scoring runs. In particular, his leadership in successfully leading the Indian Test team to a memorable Test series victory during the 2020-21 tour of Australia has been written in golden letters in the history of cricket.
