The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team has managed to make Sri Lanka shine in front of the international community in a warm-up match held as a preparation for this year’s Women’s T20 World Cup in England. The Sri Lankan team recorded a great and commendable victory in this heated match against the Pakistani team.
Vishmee, who took the burden of the innings on her shoulders, provided invaluable support to captain Chamari Atapattu throughout the match and gave no space to the opposing bowlers. She hit beautiful shots all over the field and scored 63 runs unbeaten to pave the way for the Sri Lankan team to victory. Getting such a successful and confident start before a huge tournament like the World Cup will undoubtedly be a reason to raise the mentality of the entire team.
