Australian cricketer Chris Lynn has been handed a one-month ban from cricket after being found guilty of using cocaine. He tested positive during the T20 Blast tournament held in England.
Notably, Chris Lynn has admitted to using cocaine.
In addition to the one-month ban, arrangements have been made for him to undergo a rehabilitation program. Following this, there will be no obstacles to his return to the cricket field.
However, his participation in the Australian Big Bash League—set to begin next month—is now in jeopardy, as Cricket Australia is scrutinizing the disciplinary breach.
Australia maintains a very strict stance regarding disciplinary issues, regardless of the player’s stature. Consequently, the period ahead is unlikely to be easy for Chris Lynn.
