Sri Lanka women’s cricket captain Chamari Athapaththu has been nominated for the award for the world’s best female cricketer for the past month.
According to the official International Cricket Council (ICC) website, she received this nomination due to her outstanding performances during the Women’s Asia Cup and the women’s cricket tournament at the Asian Games.
India’s Shafali Verma and Sri Charani have also been nominated for this award alongside her.
