Ayomal Akalanka represented Sri Lanka in Round 1, Heat 3 of the Men’s 400m Hurdles, one of the most exciting athletic events at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Akalanka, who put in his best effort in this event, which featured many of the world’s most talented athletes, managed to win 3rd place in the race he participated in (Heat 3) by recording a time of 50.27 seconds.
According to the overall scoreboard of this 400m Hurdles competition, which was highly competitive at the international level, Ayomal Akalanka is in 11th place
