The US NAIA intercollegiate athletics competition, the Tennessee invite Athletics Championship, was recently held at the University of Tennessee, and for that, Sri Lanka’s Kehan Kumarasiri entered Indiana Tech University in the US a few months ago. He competed in the above competition and won the first place in the 400m preliminary round in the open category. The performance was recorded as 48.5. He completed his primary education at Mahanama College, Colombo. He completed his higher education at Steiner College International School. The next competition in which Kehan will participate will be held on April 17 and 18. The above-mentioned American universities also provide free undergraduate scholarships to Sri Lankan junior athletes.
