The Sri Lankan team that is going to win the Asian athletics field

The athletics squad representing Sri Lanka is currently preparing for the 20th Asian Games to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan in 2026.
In the face of strong competition at the Asian level, several of our players are going to enter the field through various events to keep the name of Sri Lanka at the top this time.
Looking at this year’s squad, it is notable that more attention has been paid to the 400m and relay events. Kalinga Kumarage, Kalhara Indupa and Sadev Wimansa will compete in the 400m individual event as well as the 4x400m medley and men’s relay events. Apart from this, Aruna Darshan, Omel Shashinta and Pasindu Lakshan also add strength to the 4x400m relay team.
In Javelin Throw, Rumesh Tharanga and Sumedha Ranasinghe will compete for Nadisha Secretary’s Sri Lanka, and it is clear from these selections that Sri Lanka can give a good fight in both track and field events.
