Mr. Sanjeevan Balasingam, FIFA Director for Asia and Oceania, met with Mr. Sunil Kumara Gamage, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, today (24). The meeting took place at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the support that could be provided to develop football in Sri Lanka.
Mr. Sanjeevan Balasingam stated that support would be extended for the development of football in the country.
Further discussions were also held regarding the construction of a football pitch with FIFA’s sponsorship and the provision of necessary equipment for football players.
