Sri Lanka’s Sonal Dinusha has won the award for the world’s best cricketer for August 2026.

He earned this honor thanks to his outstanding performance during the Test series against India.
Playing in two matches during the series, he scored 420 runs, including three centuries.
Sonal made history during the series by becoming the third Sri Lankan batsman to score three centuries in a two-match Test series.
Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud and England’s Ollie Robinson had also been nominated for this award.
