The 15-member Sri Lankan men’s T20 cricket squad for the 2026 Asian Games, scheduled to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, has been announced; the squad includes several senior players with international experience.
According to the list released by the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, the 15-member squad comprises Niroshan Dickwella, Chamika Karunaratne, Nuwan Thushara, Binura Fernando, Ashen Bandara, Nuwanidu Fernando, Dushan Hemantha, Pramod Madushan, and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth.
The remaining members of the squad are Lasith Croospulle, Sahan Arachchige, Tharindu Hasanka, Vanooja Sahan Kumara, Keshan Thathsara de Livera, and Sineth Jayawardena.
Ashan Priyanjan serves as the team’s head coach, while Anusha Samaranayake and Upul Chandana serve as the fast-bowling coach and spin-bowling coach, respectively. The cricket tournament is scheduled to be held in Japan from September 24 to October 3.
Sri Lanka, having secured a top ranking alongside India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, will enter the tournament directly at the knockout stage.
