Shammi to resign as Cricket Chairman on Wednesday

Sri Lanka Cricket Chairman Shammi Silva is set to resign from the post on Wednesday (29), reported, citing government sources.

According to the report, it has been learned that Shammi Silva is resigning following a government notice to resign from the post.

Former Member of Parliament and State Minister Eran Wickramaratne is said to be appointed as the new Chairman of the Cricket Board.

Shammi Silva, who was first elected as the Chairman of the Cricket Board in February 2019, defeated Jayantha Dharmadasa in the Cricket Board election and subsequently served as the Chairman continuously.
