The Indian team won the gold medal in women’s cricket at the Asian Games today (22) by defeating the Sri Lankan team.
Consequently, Sri Lanka had to settle for the silver medal.
Batting first, India scored 216 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs; in reply, Sri Lanka was bowled out for just 69 runs in 15.4 overs.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan women’s team secured the bronze medal.
They defeated the Bangladesh women’s team by 31 runs in the match held today.
