United Arab Emirates cricketer Asif Khan has been banned for 15 months after testing positive for a banned substance in an external test conducted on 8 September 2025.

Asif Khan, who has admitted to violating Article 2.1 of the International Cricket Council’s Anti-Doping Code, has accepted the 15-month ban in accordance with an agreement reached with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the ICC.

The ban will take effect from 8 September 2025 and will run until 7 December 2026.

According to the ICC Code of Conduct, he will be allowed to return to team training from 8 October 2026, but will not be allowed to play in matches until 8 December 2026.

All individual match results, medals, bonus points and prize money earned by him between 8 September 2025 and 29 December 2025 (the date of the provisional suspension) have been forfeited.

There is no right of appeal against this decision under the relevant Consensus Agreement.
