Young batsman Pasindu Suriyabandara, who faced the misfortune of being dismissed for a duck in the first Test match as a concussion sub, has made his name in the international arena by leading Sri Lanka’s innings from the front in this match, but unfortunately, he had to miss both golden opportunities to score his maiden Test century (Maiden Test 100) in the same match.
Pasindu, who scored a valuable 80 runs in the first innings, did a great job for Sri Lanka by batting unwaveringly in the second innings and scoring 92 runs.
Making excellent use of the bowlers’ pace, directing the ball to the Third Man zone and scoring runs by manipulating the ball towards the Leg Side were some of the technical features that stood out in his innings.
