The list of young riders who have qualified for the Moto4 Asia Cup, the highest level of international motorcycle racing, has been announced recently.
A total of 83 riders from 17 countries in the Asian region have qualified for this, including 79 boys and 4 girls.
Two young Sri Lankan riders, Chenuka Kaldera and Hesali Peiris, are also included among these 83.
It is noteworthy that Hesali Peiris, a Sri Lankan athlete, is among the 4 girls selected for this tournament from all over Asia.
This tournament, called the Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup, is scheduled to be held on October 27th and 28th this year at the Sepang International Kart Circuit.
During this qualifying tournament, all riders will be subjected to extensive evaluation by a panel of experts both on and off the track.
The top young riders from this qualifying round will qualify for the competition, and the top performers will be selected for the 2027 Moto4 Academy.
