The International Olympic Committee states that South Africa is interested in hosting the 2036 Olympic Games.
The committee’s official website indicates that Germany, Hungary, India, Qatar, South Korea, South Africa, and Turkey are currently engaged in discussions regarding this matter.
Like South Africa, Hungary, India, Qatar, and Turkey have never previously hosted an Olympic Games.
Should South Africa secure this opportunity, it would make history as the first African nation to host the Olympic Games.
