Kapila Wijegunawardena to be the Chairman of the New Cricket Selection Committee

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has taken steps to nominate the board of officers for the new selection committee of the Sri Lanka Cricket.
Accordingly, this step has been taken in response to a request made by the Sri Lanka Cricket on 20th May 2026, and the new selection committee members named are:
Kapila Wijegunawardena – Chairman
Amal Silva – Member
Brendon Kuruppu – Member
Waruna Waragoda – Member
Vanessa de Silva – Member.
