“No official notice has been received from Shammi to resign,” says Sri Lanka Cricket

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board says that its side is not aware of any information that the government has asked the executive committee members, including chairman Shammi Silva, to resign.

“We have also seen some reports in the media. But we have not been informed about anything about it. We are not aware of anything like that,” Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva said at a press conference held today.

He made the statement in response to questions raised by journalists regarding reports that the President had asked the Sri Lanka Cricket executive committee to resign.
