The deadline for this was given until 3 pm, and the lists of players retained and released by each team have now been announced to the media.

Accordingly, out of the 10 Sri Lankan players who participated in the last IPL tournament, only 4 Sri Lankan players have been decided to be retained in their squads for the upcoming tournament.

Chennai Super Kings have released Matheesha Pathirana from the squad.

Delhi Capitals have taken steps to further retain Dushmantha Chameera in the squad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained Kamidu Mendis and Eshan Malinga in their squad.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have decided to retain Nuwan Thushara in their squad.

Mahesh Teekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga, who represented Rajasthan Royals, have been released from the squad.

Dasun Shanaka and Kusal Mendis, who were included in the Gujarat Titans squad, have also been released from the squad, while Charith Asalanka, who joined the Mumbai Indians squad, is not included in the list of players retained.
