The Lake House Building Department gained the cricket championship at the Lake House Sports Tournament organised by the Lake House Management and the Lake House Sports Club to promote employee welfare, while the Red Rose team won the Netball Championship.
The Commercial Printing Department became the cricket runner-up and the netball runner-up title was won by the Blue Rose team. The Lake House Sports Tournament, which was organised in a grand way at the Air Force Stadium in Colombo, was held under the supervision of Lake House Chairman Prof. Harendra Kariyawasam and with the participation of board members, general managers and employees.
Nishantha Hulandawa (Building Department) was the Best Player in the final match of the cricket tournament. G. G. K. Fernando (Back Office) won the Best Batsman award and the Best Bowler award was won by Rizmi (Building Department). Ruwan Achintha (Commercial Printing) was adjudged the Hero of the Tournament.
Randili Pabasara (Blue Rose Team) and Krishani Jayakodi (Red Rose Team) were awarded as the Best Player and Best Shooter respectively at the netball tournament.
