Sri Lanka Women’s A Team qualified for the semi-finals of the 2026 Emerging Teams Asia Cup today.
They won the match against Thailand by 23 runs.
Batting first, Sri Lanka Women’s A Team scored 133 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the match held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hansima Karunaratne was unbeaten on 62.
Chasing a target of 134 runs, Thailand were all out for 110 runs.
Nattakan Chantham scored 57.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka qualified for the semi-finals by securing second place in the points table of the tournament in Group B.
Their semi-final match is scheduled to be played against India Women’s A Team next Friday.
