Afghanistan fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has been banned for 20 months by ILT20 due to breach of contract. He represented Sharjah Warriors in the recently concluded season. In 9 matches, Naveen took 11 wickets at an average of 24.36.

Naveen was a part of the CC World Cup 2013, which was his last assignment in one-day internationals. He has announced retirement from the fifty-over format to manage his workload and focus on T20 cricket.

Naveen will play for Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2024.
