Reports indicate that the first One Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and Sri Lanka may be moved from the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi to another venue.
According to international reports, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to relocate the match, which is currently scheduled for December 13.
It is reported that the association has sent a letter to the BCCI stating that it will not be possible to host the match on the scheduled date.
This request is reportedly due to severe air pollution in Delhi during that period, as well as ongoing renovation work at the stadium.
The Sri Lankan team’s tour of India, scheduled from December 13 to December 27, includes three ODIs and three T20 matches.
