Sashini Gimhani, who was part of the original 15-member Sri Lanka squad for the ICC
Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, sustained a lower back injury during training.
As a result, she was unable to join the team that departed for England on 2 June.
Chethana Vimukthi, the right-arm medium-fast bowler, was named as her replacement in the
squad by the Cricket Selection Panel.
