The historic city of Galle is set to witness a new chapter in school cricket as Vidyaloka College and All Saints’ College face off in their inaugural Big Match, titled “Pride of Galle”.
This landmark two-day encounter is scheduled to be held on the 8th and 9th of May at the iconic Galle International Cricket Stadium.
Organized with the support of the school administrations, alumni associations, and the cricketing community, the event aims to foster sportsmanship and celebrate the rich cricketing heritage of both institutions.
The host All Saints’ College squad, led by Bhanuka Priyalath and guided by Head Coach Thejan Yasas, enters the fray with a well-balanced team.
Meanwhile, Vidyaloka College, captained by Lidula Nuwanga under the expert mentorship of coach Thusitha Kariyawasam.
The organizers invite all cricket enthusiasts, students, and past pupils to witness this historic occasion, which promises to be a thrilling spectacle of school cricket.
