Sri Lanka Women’s team secured victory in the T20I series against Bangladesh with one match remaining today.
They won the second match of the series held in Sylhet by 21 runs.
Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 154 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Skipper Chamari Atapattu scored 42 runs, while Harshita Samarawickrama scored 49 runs.
Bangladesh, who played the reply innings, scored 133 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of the match.
Sharmeen Akhtar was not out on 44 runs.
Sri Lanka, which won the first match of the series by 25 runs, is currently leading 2-0. The final match between the two countries is scheduled to be held in Sylhet next Saturday.
