Opening batsman Pathum Nissanka scored his fourth Test century and remained unbeaten on 146, while Dinesh Chandimal, who provided invaluable support, scored 93 runs for the Sri Lankan innings.
In the bowling department, Taijul Slam and Naeem Hasan took one wicket each for Bangladesh.
