Andrea Wijerathne of Royal College and Omith Ratnayake of Nalanda College, two Under-17 players from the CCC School of Cricket have been selected to take part in the Malaysian Inter State Under-19 cricket tournament from 8-30 October in Malaysia. They are due to represent the Malaysian state of Sarawak.
The two Under-17 players are talented all-rounders who have achieved well for the CCC School of Cricket having won many awards participating in local Inter Academy tournaments.
Omith Ratnayake is a prolific batter who also bowls off spin, while Andrea Wijerathne is a right-arm medium pacer and a right hand batter.
Both are excellent fielders as well and were selected for this tournament from approximately 40 Under-17 players.
