Pakistan has decided not to play the match against India under the 2026 T20 World Cup.
However, the Pakistani government announced that it will allow the tournament to be played.
Bangladesh had stated that they could not play in India due to security concerns and wanted to play in Sri Lanka, but the International Cricket Council did not grant permission.
Accordingly, Bangladesh had to withdraw from the tournament and Scotland was chosen to replace them in the World Cup.
Pakistan expressed strong opposition to this. It is against such a backdrop that they have decided not to play the match with India.
