Women’s Champions Trophy to be hosted by India

The inaugural Women’s Champions Trophy cricket tournament organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) has been decided to be held in India.

The tournament is scheduled to be held from February 14 to 28 next year.

The tournament was initially scheduled to be hosted by Sri Lanka, but due to the ongoing administrative and constitutional reforms in the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), the International Cricket Council has decided to move the tournament to another country.

As a result, the hosting of the tournament has been handed over from Sri Lanka to India.

The Women’s Champions Trophy, which will be held in a 6-team format, will feature Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

The tournament will be played in a Twenty20 format, with the top two teams in the points table qualifying for the final on February 28.
