A bomb blast has occurred in front of a court building in the country’s capital Islamabad shortly before the start of the first ODI cricket match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Foreign media reports that 12 people have been killed and several others injured in the explosion. The first ODI between Sri Lanka and Pakistan has already started in Rawalpindi.
The city of Rawalpindi is located about 20 kilometers from the city of Islamabad where the explosion occurred.
The explosion is reported from Pakistan in the context of an explosion that also occurred in New Delhi, India, last night.
