Sonal Dinusha’s rare Test cricket record

Sonal set a world record by scoring half-centuries or more in each of his first three innings against India. He showed a very high level of development in these three innings, which were built up as 100, 84 and 103 runs.
This is not an ordinary feat.
In 1948, Everton Weekes of the West Indies scored 4 centuries in his first 4 innings against India.
In 1978, Zaheer Abbas of Pakistan scored a half-century, a century and a double century in his first 3 innings.
After that, for 48 years, no batsman in international cricket was able to show such consistent performance in his first 3 innings against India. Sonal managed to change that long history and make this rare world record a reality for Sri Lanka.
