Sri Lankan junior Tharushi Karunaratne won her first SEC medal at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in Texas.
She won the 800m leg of the Distance Medley Relay for her Texas A&M team in 2:05.87 minutes.
In the same event, Texas A&M won the bronze medal with a new school record of 10:58.39 minutes.
In a Distance Medley Relay, four athletes must run 1200m, 400m, 800m and 1600m.
