In the first competition of the IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon competition held recently in the city of Mulu Luba on the Sunshine Coast of Australia, he managed to win 29th place out of 187 competitors in the age group 25-29 years old, finishing the 1.9 km run, 90 km bike ride, and 21 km road race in a total time of 4 hours: 42 minutes and 42 seconds. It is noteworthy that about 1500 competitors from more than 15 countries participated in this competition.
Shane Amarasinghe competed in the second IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon in Western Sydney, Australia, where over 1300 athletes from 15 countries participated, and it was a special moment for Shane Amarasinghe to come out on top of his previous performance in the triathlon. In this stage, he managed to win 27th place in the same age group with a time of 4 hours: 37 minutes: 57 seconds. With the conclusion of this stage, the next stage of the IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon will be held in Melbourne, Australia on November 9th. Organizers have decided to hold one leg of the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon on February 22nd around the Colombo Golf Course in Sri Lanka.
