Colombo, Sri Lanka – World Championship medalist Nisa Madumali and South Asian medalist Vishwa Tharuka have departed for Thailand to represent Sri Lanka at the 57th WBPF/ABBF Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships. The championship will take place from today until August 25, featuring a week of competition with elite athletes from across Asia.
The event is organized by the Thailand Bodybuilding Association, with the support of the Ministry of Sports of Thailand, the National Olympic Committee, the Sports Authority, and the National Sports Fund.
In addition to the athletes, Mr. Jagath Samarasekara and Mr. Janaka Samarasinghe will participate in the championship as members of the Executive Committee of the Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation (ABBF).
The Sri Lankan delegation carries the hopes of the nation, and we extend our best wishes to the athletes as they compete on the international stage to bring honor and pride to their motherland.
