The Taekwondo Ambassadors Cup 2025 Championship, organized by the Korean Embassy in Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation, was held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall recently.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sunil Kumara Gamage, while Korean Ambassador Mian Lee and Secretary to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Aruna Bandara, also attended the event.

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, while participating in the event, said that the Korean Ambassadors Cup Taekwondo Championship can be seen as a symbol of the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between Korea and Sri Lanka.

The Minister stated that the Taekwondo Championship attracted competitors from different age groups and skill levels, and that it would contribute to the enhancement of bilateral sports cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

The Minister, who congratulated all the athletes who participated in the championship yesterday, said that whether they win a medal or not, the dedication and discipline of an athlete are the achievements they have already achieved.
