A Sri Lankan martial arts team has taken part in the first South Asia ‘Street Defence Tournament’ (SDT), which was detained in Nepal, Kathmandu from 11 to 12 January.

There was also a seminar on 9 and 10 January. Two members, Rakindu Chandira Premachandra and P.D. Kasun Harsha Kumara from Jeet Kune Do martial art association Sri Lanka managed to victory the second place in 65-69 kg weight category and third place in over-70 kg weight category under the direction of chief instructor W.N. Dinesh Dharmasena. 

The ninth Ted Wong Jeet Kune Do seminar and first Street Defense Tournament was held by Nepal Jeet Kune Do Martial art association.

Sifu Joaquin Marcelo, Shiva Bahadur Thapa, and Mitchel Chapel were the chief judges of the tournament.
