Western Province Netball League Game on August 25

Seven women’s clubs and two men’s clubs of ‘A’ division have confirmed their contribution at the Western Province League Netball Tournament (WPLNT) conducted by Western Province Netball Association which is planned to be held on August 25 at National Youth Services Council grounds Maharagama.

Speedbirds SC (Last year’s Runners Up), Speedmax SC, Flying Birds SC, Goal Getters SC, Ladyhawks SC, Inland Revenue SC, Familians SC are the A division women’s clubs while last year winners United SC and last year runners up Sooriya Kirana once again will battle for the ‘A division  men’s event. However last year women’s A’ division winner Sharks SC is notable truant of this tournament.

In the meantime Sharks SC (Last year’s Runners Up), Familians SC, Ladyhawks SC, Inland Revenue SC will take part at the women’’s over 45 event  and last year winner Speedbirds SC  is a notable absentee this time.

In addition six more teams have not inveterate their participation yet, said Secretary of the Western Province Netball Association Rio Ramlan. Once again we are getting ready to conduct this tournament which always give good chance for women’s men’s and school Netball players added Secretary of Western Province.

At the schools competition 11 under 17 and nine over 17 schools have confirmed their participation.
