Sri Lankan women’s volleyball team today registered their first victory at the Central Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship being held in Nepal, completely stunning the formidable Bangladesh team.
Although Sri Lanka had to face unfortunate 3-0 defeats against Kazakhstan and Iran in the first two matches of this tournament, our girls, who played unwaveringly under the leadership of Ashani Chamodikha, gave the country this super victory in the third match.
Warmest congratulations to our Lionesses, who are not deterred by their first defeats and are trying their best to carry the name of Sri Lanka forward!
