Tharushi Abhishek, who shook Asia in the 800m, has once again raised the name of Sri Lanka to the top of the international stage at the Asian Junior Athletics Championships.
But this time she did not only win in her usual event. Turning to the 1500m track, which was a challenge for her, she also left behind all the other strong athletes in Asia, recording an exceptional time of 04:31.41 minutes and made Sri Lanka the gold medal.
