17 Sri Lankan athletes are scheduled to participate in the 6th Asian Beach Games to be held in China from 22nd to 30th April 2026.
The Sri Lankan Air Force team participating in the tournament is scheduled to compete in the following sports: Athletics, Handball, Volleyball, Wrestling and Kabaddi. The Sri Lankan women’s handball team will be captained by Corporal Purnima Erandi of the Sri Lanka Air Force, while the Sri Lankan men’s kabaddi team will be captained by Airman Chaminda Samarakoon.
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, congratulated the athletes representing the Sri Lanka Air Force at the 6th Asian Beach Games at the Air Force Headquarters on 16 April 2026.
