The Sri Lankan national shooting team has returned to the island after winning a total of 10 medals, including 3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze, in two major international shooting tournaments held in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Representing the Sri Lanka National Rifle Association, the Sri Lankan team has displayed this excellent performance, competing against athletes from nearly 40 countries.

At the Bali Open IPSC tournament, the Sri Lankan team won 6 medals, including 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.

It is noteworthy that Sri Lankan athletes won all the first, second and third places in the PCC Optics – Junior category.

The Sri Lankan team won 4 medals, including a gold medal and 3 silver medals, at the Kadayawan Festival Tournament in the Philippines.

Air Vice Marshal Vajira Senadheera, President of the Sri Lanka National Rifle Association, along with officials and parents of the players, were present at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake to welcome the victorious players who arrived in the island.
