The 108th YONEX All England Seniors (Masters) Championships, one of the world’s premier international badminton tournaments, was held at the Hertfordshire Sports Village (Hatfield) in England from April 10 to 12. Sri Lankan Nadeesha Gayanthi won the gold medal in the women’s over 40 singles event and the silver medal in the mixed doubles event.
Commonwealth badminton player Dinuka Karunaratne of Sri Lanka also participated in the tournament. Dinuka represented England in this competition and won the gold medal in the men’s singles and men’s doubles over 35 years of age.
