Sri Lanka Indoor rowing National took place at Diyannawa rowing centre, Battaramulla. This event was organized by the Amateur rowing Association of Sri Lanaka on 31stJanuary and 1st February 1st 2025 .
There were more than 400 athletes taking part in this event representing Schools, Universities, clubs and Tri forces. The athletes took part in Under -14 ,Under-16 ,Under-19 ,Under-23 age categories and open category in individual event and Relay Event .
Vishaka Vidiyala Rowing Team led by Captain Navithmee Perera performed exceptionally in all Under-14, 16, 19 and 23 Junior categories and was able to secure the overall Junior girls category by securing 6 golds, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
As very young team to rowing arena, the Vishakians proved their talent and strong build up as a team to other opponents and spectators. Surprising them,
Imandi Mahawatte and Dinagi Gamage out stood by winning 3 gold medals each in their under 19 and under 23 age categories .
