Sri Lanka’s Chanithma Sinali secured a brilliant victory in the Round of 32 of the women’s singles squash event. Displaying a competitive and aggressive style of play, she defeated China’s Liu Ziyi in a match that went to five games. Although Chanithma won the first game 11-9 but lost the second and third games 6-11 and 3-11 respectively, she staged a strong comeback to win the final two games 11-4 and 11-4, thereby clinching the victory for Sri Lanka.
