A.M. Dinesha Dilrukshi representing the North Western Province secured a magnificent victory in the Women’s Cycling Championship held today, concurrently with the grand golden jubilee celebration of the 50th National Sports Festival – 2026.
Flagging off in front of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dilrukshi clocked a hand-held timing of 2:16:03 to finish the race and clinch the coveted first place on the national podium.
Proving the North Western Province’s absolute dominance in this year’s road race, P.A.S. Priyadarshani secured the second place, while Akasha Sandamini representing the Western Province finished third.
