The 13th Defence Services Taekwondo Championship 2024/2025 finished successfully at the Gymnasium of Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Base Katunayake, held from 17-20 December.
The Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Taekwondo Team appeared as the Women’s Champions, securing an impressive haul of five gold, two silver and nine bronze medals.
In the meantime, the SLAF Men’s Taekwondo team achieved the Runners-Up position with an outstanding tally of four gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
Aircraftman D.P.G.A.M. Prabashwara was known for his exceptional performance and was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Best Player’ of the tournament.
The awards ceremony was graced by the Sri Lanka Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff, Air vice Marshal Chaminda Wickramaratne, as the chief guest, along with senior officers from the tri-services in attendance.
