T. M. Eranda Tennakoon, who proudly raised the Sri Lankan flag before the world by winning 2nd place among the 100 strongest runners in the world at the NONG KHAI 100KM ULTRA MARATHON 2026 international competition held in Thailand, succeeded.
Even though he sold his own property and spent personal money to bring this victory to the country, there was no sponsor to buy him even a pair of shoes. There was no big boss to welcome him when he returned to his homeland from the airport.. His villagers welcomed him with honor in the village.
Eranda is ready to participate in the next largest world ultra marathon to be held in Spain on September 22nd and put Sri Lanka’s name on top again. This will cost around 900,000 rupees, and if anyone is able to help, it would be very helpful to support them.
