Kalinga Kumarage qualifies for the 2026 Asian Games men’s 400m final

Sri Lanka’s Kalinga Kumarage qualified for the final of the men’s 400m event at the 2026 Asian Games today.
He achieved this by clocking a time of 45.74 seconds in the second preliminary round race held today in Nagoya, Japan.
He secured third place in that preliminary round race.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Kalhara Indupa, who competed in the third preliminary round race, clocked a time of 46.53 seconds but failed to qualify for the final.
