The 35th YOUTH SPORTS FEST 2025 District Sports Festival was held recently at the Alfred Durai Appa Stadium in Jaffna.
Youth athletes representing all 15 Divisional Secretariat Divisions of Jaffna District participated in this event, and the team events concluded recently.
The District Sports Festival was concluded with track and field events, in which the Telippai Divisional Board won the championship. The second place went to the Point Pedro Divisional Board and the third place to the Nallur Divisional Board.
The District Sports Festival will be held at the end of the Regional Sports Festivals, and the National Sports Festival is scheduled to be held in December.
The Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Marine Resources Ramalingam Chandrasekar, Director/General of the National Youth Services Council Attorney Supun Wijeratne, Board Member Chathura Peiris and officials also participated in this event.
